Job Description:

On behalf of our reputable client Remedicare Staffing are searching for an experienced and qualified Deputy Manager to join their Residential Care Home based in Rochdale. They are an attractive, 25 bedded Residential Home that is independently run and has a fantastic reputation in the local area. Their latest CQC report is rated "GOOD" in all areas and the home is located in a quiet and pleasant area. All rooms are tastefully decorated and person-centred care is at the heart of the home's values.

This is a full time, permanent Residential Deputy Manager role with a mixture of duties with flexibility on the shifts as to the needs of the home and requirements of the role. The position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Care Home Deputy Manager or Head of Care to work as a part of a passionate and dedicated team within a supportive and welcoming home. You will lead the care team, carry out audits, and deputise in times where the Registered Manager is not in the service. The role is predominantly supernumerary based and the successful individual will write their own rota in order to supervise the care team and ensure that a consistently high standard of care is being provided, for example you may occasionally choose to work a 3pm-10pm shift one day to check in with and oversee the night staff instead of a 9am-5pm shift.

The ideal candidate will have previous Residential Deputy Manager or Head of Care experience within an elderly Care Home environment and good leadership skills with a strong personality. Experienced Care Team Leaders or Care Managers with at least an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care will also be considered. This Deputy Care Home Manager position is for an exceptional individual who has been in a Residential Care Home or similar environment and believes passionately in providing excellent care to the elderly. As a Deputy Manager, we want someone with a sound track record in previous care roles and who strives to provide the very highest standards of person-centred care.



Required Skills/ Experience:

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care minimum (Home is willing to support the successful candidate in completing their Level 5 if not already possessed)
Team leading/managerial experience within a Care Home environment
Medication trained
Proficient with writing and updating care plans, risk assessments, supervisions and appraisals


Deputy Care Home Manager duties will include:

Care plans, staff supervisions, assessments
Audits
Supporting the Home Manager with the recruitment, induction and training of all staff at the home.
Monitoring care provision and ensuring that a consistently high standard of care is provided to all residents
