This role is in a 50 bedded Residential Care Home in the Edgware area that specialises in elderly care and the most recent CQC report is rated "GOOD" in all areas. The Home takes great pride in the standard of its service and seeks to allow as much individual freedom and choice as possible in order to achieve a homely atmosphere and satisfied elderly residents.

The pay rate starts at a competitive £10.20+ per hour and is a full-time, permanent Care Team Leader position on Days. The hours are flexible working short or long shifts and some weekends. Practical experience of working with older people especially with people living with the dementia is an advantage and previous experience in a Senior Care Assistant or Care Team Leader position is required. Your role will be to provide leadership, supporting the Deputy and Home Manager, administering, ordering and receiving medication. Liaising with health care professionals, accessing health care and recreational activities.

Care Team Leader Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and support for Carers and Senior Carers, leading your own small care team within the Care Home

Act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity.

Ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.

Ensure clear and accurate records are kept.

Create and update care plans



Skills & Experience

Experience of working with older people

Understand care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans

Experience of leading a shift

Good organisational skills and supervisory skills

Ability to plan allocate and delegate work appropriately



Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care

Medication trained
