We are exclusively seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Home Manager for a fantastic Residential Care Home near Swindon.
A passionate and dedicated individual is required to help manage an attractive 40 bedded Residential Home in the Wroughton area. The home is rated ‘GOOD’ in the most recent CQC report and is a part of a medium sized, family-run care company with several homes across the South of England and a fantastic reputation in the industry. Set in beautiful grounds laden with fruit trees this welcoming home is made up of en-suite bedrooms to provide residents with the privacy they desire along with spacious and peaceful community areas. A well-maintained garden with a charming allotment area is available for residents to tend to if they wish. This Deputy Manager position is for an exceptional individual who has been in a Residential Care Home or similar environment and believes passionately in providing excellent care to the elderly. As a Deputy Manager, we want someone with a sound track record in previous care roles and who strives to provide the very highest standards of person-centred care.
This is a full time, permanent Deputy role with a mixture of floor and office duties paying £28,000-30,000 per annum. (DOE, negotiable for the right candidate). The position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy or Head of Care looking to maintain a close relationship with their residents and a presence on the floor alongside key office duties such as care planning and recruitment.
We are seeking a strong, experienced individual with drive and commitment who is always willing to go the extra mile. The ideal candidate will have previous Residential Deputy Manager or Head of Care experience within an elderly Care Home environment and good leadership skills with a strong personality. Experienced Care Team Leaders or Care Managers with at least an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care will also be considered.
Required Skills/ Experience:
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care minimum (Home is willing to support the successful candidate in completing their Level 5 if not already possessed)
Shift leading/managerial experience within a Care Home environment
Strong IT skills, familiarity with electronic care plans would be a plus
Proficient with care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding
Deputy Care Home Manager duties will include:
Care plans, reviews and meetings, DoLs, risk assessments, staff supervisions, assessments
Supporting the Home Manager with the recruitment, induction and training of all staff at the home.
Ensuring that a consistently high standard of care is provided to all residents
