Head of Care Job Description:
An experienced and dedicated individual is required to help run a friendly and comfortable Residential Care Home within the Hayling Island area as their new Head of Care / Deputy Manager. The home is a small, 18 bedded service which caters for elderly and dementia clients and they are a part of a small, family-run care company. The home is located in a scenic and tranquil setting within an extremely rewarding environment.
This is a full-time, permanent position paying £11.00-12.50 per hour. (DOE) Previous experience is preferred however this could be the ideal role for an experienced Care Team Leader/Senior Care Assistant looking to take their first step up into a managerial role.
This role will work closely alongside the Registered Manager to maintain the high standards that the home has set and work as the link between the Senior Carers and the Home Manager. You will make sure that paperwork is updated and completed regularly whilst also ensuring that the care provided is of the highest possible level. The Head of Care / Deputy Manager duties are working predominantly on the floor on long or short shifts with occasional office duties for example assisting with the rota and care plans. Shifts are 8-2, 2-8 or 8-8 with some covering for the Manager upon her absence 9-5.

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care minimum
Experience of working within a Care Home environment
Proficient with: Care plans, Risk assessments, Supervisions, Liaising with families and other healthcare professionals
Head of Care duties will include:
Shift leading and ensuring a high quality of care provision is maintained
Working on the floor
