Remedicare Staffing are currently supporting an independent, family-run Residential Care Home in their search for an experienced and dedicated Registered Home Manager for their beautiful home in Hemel Hempstead.
This a fantastic 50 bedded Residential Home that caters for residents with varying degrees of residential and dementia care needs in a safe, appealing and comfortable environment. The Home is purpose-built and comes complete with communal lounges, dining rooms and a conservatory plus an enclosed garden which is fully utilised in the summer months for activities. All rooms are delightfully furbished, with quality furniture and carpets and all bedrooms come with an en-suite as standard. A varied programme of activities and entertainment is provided for those Residents who wish to take part, both spontaneously arranged and others planned in advance. Our objective is to encourage Residents to retain their interests and enjoy social occasions if they wish. The company's policy is one of flexibility and caring for individual needs, so that all residents can live as full a life as their physical and mental condition will allow them without any reduction of their rights as citizens.
This is a full time, permanent role working Monday to Friday on a 37.5 hours per week contract and comes with a fantastic basic salary of £40,000 per annum! The company also offers a generous bonus scheme of up to £3,000 based upon occupancy, CQC and budgetary controls. The current Home Manager is due to retire after a number of years with the company hence their need for a diligent and experienced professional to take up the reins.
NVQ Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care or Registered Managers Award
Experienced in a residential care environment, you will be able to demonstrate a track record in leading, motivating and managing staff to deliver a high standard of care and support is provided to the service users.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised, you will be dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Care Home.
Have a good understanding of CQC regulations and requirements, safeguarding and care plans
Duties will include:
The day-to-day management of the Home according to the policies and resources determined by the Employer and the requirements of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 & 2012 and subsequent amendments.
Staff management, appraisals and training
Care plans, reviews and meetings
Maintain the records and policies & procedures required of the Home by the Registration Legislation and the Employer.
Participating in the marketing programme for the Home by presenting a professional image to all visitors and by ensuring that the Home is maintained to the highest standards at all times.
