On behalf of a fantastic care provider I am looking for a Head of Care / Deputy Manager to join the team at a wonderful Residential Care Home in the Market Harborough area.

Job Description:

An experienced and dedicated individual is required to help manage a Residential Home within the Rochdale area. The home is a great family-run 40 bedded residence which caters for elderly clients and the most recent CQC report is "GOOD" in all areas. They have a history of promoting staff from within and helping individuals to gain their NVQs, the current Home Manager for example was promoted from Deputy to the current post.

This position is contracted for 33 or 44 hours per week plus any overtime and the shifts are 7:00am-7:15pm. This pays £10.00-12.00 per hour (DOE) plus a 10% on-target bonus scheme.



My client is seeking a strong, experienced individual with drive and commitment who is seeking a new exciting challenge. The ideal candidate will have previous Deputy Manager experience and good leadership skills with a strong personality. Team Leaders with a Level 3 or 5 who are looking to take a step up will be considered.



The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

Skills/ Experience:

Ideally NVQ Level 3 minimum (Home is willing to support the successful candidate in completing their Level 4/5 if not already possessed)

Experience of working within a Care Home environment

Managerial experience

Sound knowledge of CQC and Care Standards

Dynamic & Enthusiastic



Duties will include:

Shared responsibility of the home

Staff management/appraisals/Training

Care plans/reviews/meetings

Ordering and auditing medication
