We are exclusively seeking passionate and professional care assistants who go all-out to provide the very best care for one of our fantastic care providers.
About the role:
Our client in Liverpool is seeking full time Care Assistants for their 30 bedded nursing home. The home specialises in elderly and dementia care and their CQC report is rated "GOOD" in all areas. They are run by a charity that truly values their staff and wants to create a welcoming environment for all who enter the home, residents, staff and friend & family members alike. The home is well served by public transport and is only a short walk away from multiple train and bus stops.
As a Care Assistant, you will report to the Senior Care Assistant or Registered Nurse and will support with all aspects of care within the home. You will provide high quality care to residents, paying attention to their specific and individual needs.
Both Days and Nights are available paying £8.72 per hour with paid breaks. (Equivalent to £9.51 with unpaid breaks!)
These are full time, permanent positions (36 hours per week + optional overtime) working long shifts.
Care Assistant Main Duties:
* Supporting the HCA's and SHCA's to deliver the highest quality of care in the home
Follow individuals' specific care plans and ensure they are regularly reviewed, updated and that they are appropriate to the residents needs
Support residents with personal care (toileting, washing and dressing)
Maintain residents dignity and independence
* Manual handling - Lifting and helping residents move around
Care Assistant Skills Needed:
The ideal care assistant will have a positive and caring attitude with good communication skills. Reliability and a strong team/work ethic are essential within this role.
Care Assistant Skills Desired:
NVQs in Health and Social are desirable although not essential. Previous experience of working within a care home/home care/hospital setting for a year or more is preferred.
