Our client in Plymouth is an attractive 60 bedded Nursing Home that is a part of a longstanding charity with a great reputation in the local area. The care home is located in a quiet and pleasant area and comes complete with communal lounges and extensive grounds of three acres. The home also enjoys panoramic views of the City of Plymouth, Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and out to sea over Plymouth Sound. Bedrooms are furnished and decorated to a high standard and staff encourage residents to bring in personal items such as ornaments and photographs to enable them to feel completely at home.
Care is provided on a dedicated 'people first' philosophy to ensure that the very highest quality of care is provided at all times to all residents. We are looking for Care Assistants who have a passion and desire to care for others and work alongside a team of others Carers and Senior Carers to promote dignity and independence for all residents within the Nursing Home. The ideal candidate will be looking to develop a career within Health and Social Care. You may already have previous experience or an NVQ in Health and Social Care and we will support you in continuing to build on your previous success.
Days and Nights are available
£9.46-10.42 per hour. (DOE and Qualifications)
The shifts are 12 hours long
Full and part time roles are available.
Free on-site parking - Drivers are preferred but it is walking distance from the town centre
Extensive training and support will be provided to Care Assistants from Senior Care Assistants and senior staff members. Full training and inductions will be a staple no matter the experience level of any new Carers joining the team.
Senior HCA roles paying £10.42 per hour are also available.
Main duties for care assistants are as follows:
Providing personal care such as toileting, washing and dressing
Manual handling, using equipment where required
Supporting the Nurses or Senior Carer with monthly and weekly checks to monitor residents' health
Repositioning residents to ensure that they are comfortable and supported
Promoting residents' health and wellbeing, enabling them to live their lives to the full
Previous experience as a Care Assistant or Senior HCA within a care home
NVQ's within health and social care.
