We are seeking a dedicated and attentive individual to join the team at an attractive Residential Care Home in the Liphook area. Being a Head of Care isn't just about leading a care team and promoting independence and choice for the residents. It's about making sure that as a home we fully meet residents' medical, physical and emotional needs and championing their safety and dignity. It's about taking responsibility for the admission of new residents and devising and implementing personalised care. As a family run business, we can prioritise care and contentment over numbers and spreadsheets and value making our home as homely as possible.
The Care Home itself is an intimate, 26 bedded service which caters for elderly and dementia clients. The company aims to support and develop their staff and promote person-centred care throughout all of their homes. The majority of bedrooms come with en-suite facilities and attractive views across the well-maintained and accessible garden.
This is a full-time, permanent Head of Care position paying £11.00-11.50 per hour. Previous experience is preferred however this could be the ideal role for an experienced Care Team Leader/Senior Care Assistant looking to take a step up.
You will work closely alongside the Home Manager to maintain the high standards that the home has set and work as the link between the Senior Carers and the Home Manager. You will make sure that paperwork is updated and completed regularly whilst also ensuring that the care provided is of the highest possible level. The Head of Care role is working long shifts 7am-7pm, predominantly on the floor supervising the care team with occasional office duties for example assisting with care plans and supervisions.
NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care
Experience of working within a Residential Care Home/Nursing Home environment
Proficient with: Care plans, Risk assessments, Supervisions, Liaising with families and other healthcare professionals
Previous experience as a Head of Care or Deputy Care Manager is preferred but by no means essential so long as you have the right passion
Duties will include:
Shift leading and ensuring a high quality of care provision is maintained
