Key details

This role is in a 40 bedded Residential Care Home in Markey Harborough that specialises in elderly and dementia care. The most recent CQC report is rated in "GOOD" in all areas and the home is a part of a small, family run company with great opportunities for progression! The group currently owns and operates 6 homes across the East Midlands area and they are looking to expand. They truly value their staff and offer excellent further training and development such as NVQs and support to develop them into Senior and Care Team Leader roles.



The Senior Care Assistant pays £9.99-10.50 per hour and is a full-time, permanent position on Days or Nights working alternate weekends. (33-44 hours per week) Shifts are 7am to 7pm, 7pm-7am in a very rewarding setting.






Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for residents' safety and dignity.
*

To maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.
*

Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to care delivery are maintained and effectively used.



Skills & Experience

*

Experience of working with older people
*

Understand care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans
*

Experience of leading a shift
*

Good organisational and supervisory skills
*

Ability to plan allocate and delegate work appropriately
*

Builds effective and credible relationships both internally and externally
*

Able to cope in difficult situations with tact and diplomacy

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care

Medication trained
