Key details

This role is in a 8 bedded residential care home in Hemel Hempstead that specialises in Learning Disability care. The most recent CQC report is rated "GOOD" in all areas and the home is a part of a great company with homes across the country and great opportunities for progression!

This is a full time, permanent role paying £10.72 per hour on a 37.5 hours per week contract in an extremely rewarding setting. (Annual salary of £21,000) Shifts are a mixture of earlies and lates across a 5 day period including alternate weekends.

This would be a great opportunity for a Senior or Team Leader looking to take a step up and embark on their first foray into management within the care industry.

Key Responsibilities


Provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for residents' safety and dignity.

To maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.

Skills & Experience


Experience of working with Learning Disabilities

Understand care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans

Experience of leading a shift and good supervisory skills

Will take responsibility for issues and resolve them.

Able to cope in difficult situations with tact and diplomacy



NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential

Medication trained
